Web Platform for an International Community

The CSS Ireland was developed as a digital platform for an international organisation working in sustainable development, innovation, education and community-led initiatives.

The main objective was to present the organisation’s projects, events, initiatives and activities within a clear structure, allowing visitors to quickly find relevant information and understand how they can get involved.

Challenge

The task was to improve the existing website without rebuilding the platform from scratch. This required reviewing and restructuring the content, improving navigation and creating clearer connections between projects, publications, events and informational pages.

It was important to preserve the organisation’s visual identity while making the content easier to read and discover. The administration area also needed to remain practical for the team, which regularly publishes news, initiatives and upcoming events.

Solution

We reworked the information architecture and organised the main content types into clearly defined sections. Navigation between projects, events, publications and organisational pages was improved so that visitors could access related information without unnecessary searching.

The interface was refined with improved readability, more consistent layouts and clearer visual hierarchy. The WordPress structure was also organised so the team could add new projects, publications and events without changing the core logic of the website.

Result

The result is a better-structured platform where CSS Ireland’s projects, initiatives and events are easier to discover across both desktop and mobile devices.

Visitors can understand the organisation’s work and participation opportunities more quickly, while the team benefits from a more efficient structure for publishing and updating content.

The improvements were implemented within the existing website, preserving both the underlying technology and the organisation’s established visual identity.
